These little key chains are perfect for holding your keys and sliding your license or coins in the pocket. I use mine for work where we have a keyless entry. I put my card in the pocket and I don't even have to take it out. It works right through the fabric. I LOVE IT! So functional!

Beach Tote Bag, Zebra Madness, Green
Beach Tote Bag, Zebra Madness, Pink

This is Brittany's new beach bag. We looked high and low at the flea market for a beach bag she liked. No luck, but she suggested I just make her one. So she picked out the fabric and here it is. I think it turned out great. She's pretty good at putting the fabrics together because when I saw what she came back with, I was skeptical. It's really roomy and she has a pocket for a book/lotion and, of course, a custom cell phone pocket. Pefectly Pretty!

Crayon Holder Organizer

Grayson's Crayon Holder - I made this for my neice Grayson. You'll see in my previous posts I made really cute tote bags, but Grayson already has a tote bag. I decided to make something different for her. This is a well organized crayon holder. You put your crayons in the slots and roll it up for portability. Now she can tuck this into her tote bag and add a coloring book for an enjoyable evening out with her mom and dad.

Earring Organizer and Barrette Organzier

I had two old frames that I have been saving and finally came up with an idea for them. The first one I took an old screen and stapled it to the back of the frame, hung it on the wall and now Brittany has a neat, orderly place to put her earings. This was really easy to make. The second one I took some fabric and staples to the cardboard backing and then stapled an assortment of ribbon to the back of the cardboard. This is a barrette holder for Grayson, my
niece. I didn't have any barrettes as an example, but you just clip the barrettes to the ribbon. Now you can keep them all organzied in one place.Thursday, April 9, 2009

I Am Not a Paper Cup
Fantastic Find! I was given this "I Am Not A Paper Cup" mug from a friend at work. It is absolutely the best travel mug I've owned. It’s an eco-friendly, double-walled porcelain cup — yep, porcelain, so your coffee tastes good and not metallic. Its silicone lid stays on without fail and it can go in the dishwasher! So now you don't have to give up your daily coffee fix to show mama earth some love!

Orla Kiely Dish Towel TOTE

Again, these dish towels are just too cute! I made a tote bag and a purse from the brown/orange Orla Kiely dish towels. They were so easy. I did make a few mistakes like sewing my handles INSIDE the bag! You learn by doing. I have yet another Orla Kiely dish towel and it's a green pear. I've decided to make another purse since I love this pattern - PERFECTLY PRETTY!New Sewing Machine

I've always wanted a sewing machine but really found no time to take up the task. Well, the time has arrived! I finally bought my first sewing machine. For my first project I tackled a very beginner pattern. Well, that didn't go over so well. Pattern reading is so ALIEN! I did finally begin to catch on to easier projects I found on the web. Thanks to the many sewing tutorials online, I was able to successfully complete a few projects. This is a really cute wristlet.
